Hello Anita!
Are you sure that you're an aunt? Because you sound like a fairy godmother to me! What lucky girls to go on an adventure with you.
As for your request, I'm happy to help! In addition to the regular
travel documentation needed for your cruise, you will need to bring an extra form that gives you permission to travel with minors when you are not their legal guardian. Just print a copy of the Authorization for
Minor to Travel Without a Parent or Legal Guardian Form, have the parent or legal guardian of your nieces fill it out completely, and bring it with you on embarkation day.
While a passport is always the safest proof of identification to travel with, round-trip cruises from San Diego currently allow guests to present an original state-issued birth certificate and a government-issued photo ID card (such as a driver's license). Children under 16 years may sail with a copy of their state-issued birth certificate.
You can find more details about passports and other travel documents on the Disney Cruise Line website.I'm sure your nieces are going to be so excited! They might enjoy the free
My Disney Cruise Adventure booklet to help them prepare for the trip. For our last cruise, I downloaded the booklet and had it printed and spiralbound for my kids and they had so much fun filling it out! It's a nice way to explain some of the safety measures, plan what they want to pack, and learn more about the ships and some sailing terms. Trust me, hearing a little one talk about going to the starboard side of the ship is pretty cute!
You have some time before your cruise sets sail, so I hope you'll come back if you have more questions for us! Happy cruising, Anita!
Keep moving forward!
Amanda
