Hi Mike!
Maybe my greeting to you and your partner should be more like Mr. Ray from
Finding Nemo: “Welcome aboard explorers! Let’s get this show started!” Just imagine, in less than a year, you will be cruising the waters of the Caribbean...kind of like the turtles do on the EAC (East Australian Current). “Grab shell” and get ready because it's going to be "totally righteous" as Crush the turtle would say!
I’ve never been asked before about turtle-centric
Port Adventures, so this will be a fun question for sure. I like the way you are thinking in choosing one of Disney Cruise Line's Port Adventures for one big reason: if there is a delay in returning to the ship, Captain Mickey will do everything he can to wait for those Port Adventure participants. While I've never actually encountered a problem while on an excursion, it's comforting to know that I won't get left behind.
The best option with turtles is called
Turtle Snorkel and Mystic River in
Cozumel. During the hour-long experience, you will swim alongside green sea turtles. Pretty cool, huh? You can check this
list of Port Adventures that specifically includes your destinations of Falmouth, George Town, and Cozumel to SEA if any more of these might have turtle time. I didn’t include
Castaway Cay because stingrays and not turtles are the sea creatures featured in a Port Adventure on Disney’s private island (unless you happen to see one in the wild, which would be pretty cool!)
By the way, Crush says hi and that he can’t wait to meet your partner when you dine at
Animator’s Palate as part of your
rotational dining. This dinner show wows with amazing technology that makes Nemo and friends come to life. Seriously, Crush DOES magically interact with Guests! You will know because he says what you are wearing and asks you questions. I’ll bet she will be totally surprised by that moment!
Mike, lots of luck as you decide on your Port Adventures and get ready for a FANTASTic Western Caribbean cruise! Oh, and feel free to swim back by planDisney if you have any other questions.
Bon Voyage!
Sherry
