Welcome Aboard, Shayna!
I know you must be counting the days until your Disney Cruise Line vacation in October! Not only will you have all the features and fun of a Disney Cruise, but you'll be sailing during
Halloween On The High Seas. These festive cruises feature Halloween-themed entertainment, activities, and decorations, on all four ships in the fleet!
You'll be happy to know that there is nursery care available onboard. For the littlest cruisers (ages 3 and under), It's a Small World Nursery (on the Disney Magic, Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy) and Flounder's Reef (on the Disney Wonder) is available at an additional charge and must be reserved in advance. If you've already booked your cruise, simply log in on the DCL website and retrieve your reservation to find out when you can begin making reservations in the "My Cruise Activities" section. You can also make reservations during Open House hours on Embarkation Day (reservations are on a first-come, first-served basis).
Some more exciting news - childcare for kids age three and up is included in the cost of your cruise! I encourage you to have your five-year-old visit the Oceaneer Club/Lab on the first afternoon onboard. The Youth Clubs on the Disney ships are amazing spaces that kids love to explore. Awesome, attentive Youth Counselors do a great job keeping the kids engaged and entertained with lots of fun activities and games in a safe, comfortable space. We love taking advantage of the wonderful childcare options on a Disney Cruise when we sail.
I hope this helps with your planning! Please come back and visit us here at the Moms Panel if you have any further questions before you sail! - Diane W.
