We are planning a Disney Cruise in October and the grandkids have purchased the foam swords before we heard of the new banned items. Just checking to see if the children's foam swords are or are not allowed. Thank you for clarifying

    Ahoy Brenda –

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It looks like you are busy planning the cruise of a lifetime for your pirate grandchildren and you have so much fun in store for you.  Also, you are on top of the latest news to happen at the Disney Parks regarding Prohibited Items.  Our friends at Disney Cruise Line confirm with me that the same policy for toy weapons is in effect on the ships as it is in the Parks. Unfortunately, the toy swords are included in this ban. Pirate gear is still allowed for adult and children pirates (clothing, patches, earrings, hooks) so I hope you and your sea pups plan to bring your gear.  Brenda, thank you for your excellent question and please come back to see us again if needed.
