Hi Laurel!
We welcome you onboard here at planDisney. What a great aunt you are to want to plan a magical birthday at sea for your niece’s 10th birthday! Will you adopt me? All kidding aside, a birthday onboard with Captain Mickey and his crew makes for one memorable SAILabration and one not to be forgotten.
Talk about some long range planning...2025 sailings are indeed way off in the distance but will be on the horizon before we know it! Looking to the future, there will be at least 5 ships in the fleet to choose from with the addition of the
Disney Wish in summer 2022. Boy, you will have some choices to make and so many itineraries to choose from.
If Disney Cruise Line stays on the same course as far as announcing new itineraries and opening them for booking, I project that cruises in the 2025 calendar year will be available in late 2023 and early 2024. Again, that is using the most recent timelines as a guide. I would say it’s not the Pirate’s Code and written in stone but more like “guidelines.” (Hey, anytime I can reference
Pirates of the Caribbean in an answer, I will!)
Since you are considering
Port Canaveral as your point of departure, currently you would have the
Disney Dream and the
Disney Fantasy to choose from, and both are truly fabulous ships! But who knows what changes are in store in a few years? As we get closer, keep a weather eye on the
Disney Parks Blog-it will be your compass to point you to Disney Cruise Line announcements.
Laurel, what you should do is chart a course back to planDisney anytime you think of other great questions. We are here to be your "First Mate" as you "Captain" your Disney cruise planning.
SEA ya real soon!
Sherry
