planning a Disney cruise need help

Ahoy there, Alyssa! Welcome aboard planDisney! Disney Cruise Line is where the Magic Meets the Sea, and I am so glad you sailed in to experience some of that magic for yourself!

With so many ships, itineraries, activities, and destinations to choose from, planning a Disney Cruise can feel a little like standing at the Cabanas buffet on embarkation day and wanting one of everything! I totally get how it can feel overwhelming. One of my favorite parts, though, is the planning. Those when, where, and what decisions are what really help chart the course for your adventure.

There are three ways I like to recommend searching for your perfect sailing. First, think about the departure port. Do you want to stay within driving distance, or are you ready to pack your bags and fly across the pond to an international port? Next comes destination, which is where the daydreaming really begins! Are you craving sunshine, warm breezes, and turquoise waters in the Bahamas or Caribbean? Or do icy seas and towering glaciers call your name on an Alaskan cruise? Maybe you are hoping to explore international ports and soak up new cultures along the way. The final option is choosing your date. Do you have flexibility, or are you working around specific times of the year?

Once you know the answers to one or more of those questions, navigating the Disney Cruise Line website search tool becomes smooth sailing. It makes narrowing down the cruises that fit your needs much easier, and before you know it, you will be picturing yourself onboard with a tropical, or hand warming, drink in hand!

Sometimes, though, it is nice to have a personal touch. Talking with a Disney Cruise Line Cast Member can be incredibly helpful when selecting the right itinerary, ship, or stateroom. If you go that route, having those questions answered ahead of time will help them find the best options for you even faster.

Alyssa, I hope this helps point your compass in the right direction! You are headed for an adventure of a lifetime, and I can almost guarantee that before you even make it back down the gangway, you will be dreaming about your next cruise. Disney Cruise Line makes that part easy too with a Placeholder Reservation. You can place a refundable deposit while onboard and have up to two years to choose your next sailing, sometimes with a special discount. We always make sure to book ours before we disembark, because future cruise planning is the best kind of post vacation blues cure!

Sail back in anytime if we can help with anything else. I cannot wait for you to set your sights on the horizon and sail the high seas!

    Bon Voyage!
