Hello I am planning a Disney Cruise in June 2016. Both of my kids have food allergies, one more than the other. Will I have trouble finding foods they can eat?

    Welcome Aboard, Tracey!

Disney Cruise Line is known for excellent customer service and attention to detail. For parents of children with food allergies, it's a blessing to know that their commitment to excellent customer service extends to food allergies/sensitivities. When booking your Disney Cruise Line vacation, simply make DCL (or your travel agent) aware of the dietary restrictions for your child. Your request will be given to your dining service team, who will take care of you throughout your cruise. Once onboard, I suggest stopping by Guest Services to make sure that your requests are clear with everyone.

With Disney Cruise Line's rotational dining, you'll have the same servers each evening in the Main Dining venues. They will be aware of your dining needs and restrictions, and can help you and your children make safe choices. There won't be a need to explain your needs to new servers at each meal, which is so nice! The staff is wonderful about accommodating guests and making you feel comfortable and confident that meals will be safe for your children.

Disney Cruise Line's Main Dining venues have special procedures in place to avoid cross-contamination when preparing meals for those with food allergies.  That being said, guests with food allergies are encouraged to eat meals (even breakfast and lunch) primarily in the Main Dining restaurants. The quick-service venues near the pool and Room Service offerings have smaller galley areas, so there would be more of a risk of cross-contamination.

Please feel free to ask questions and voice any concerns you may have once onboard - your dining team is happy to help!

I hope this helps ease your mind about finding foods onboard that will be safe for your kids. Please let us know if you have further questions!

    Have a magical day - Diane W.
