We are planning a dinner for Storytellers Cafe in late October for a 50th birthday celebration and a kiddos first time to Disney. Will characters be a part of the experience?

    Hey Jenifer,

    Welcome to planDisney!

I couldn’t think of a better place to celebrate a birthday than at the Happiest Place on Earth! My family has celebrated so many birthdays at the Disneyland Resort and they are some of our best memories. Storytellers Cafe inside Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa will be the perfect place to celebrate being 50 years young. It looks like you have a similar birthday to the Magic Kingdom at the Walt Disney World Resort as it turns 50 as well in October.

If you’re looking for a character dining experience, then look no further than Mickey’s Tales of Adventure Breakfast Buffet. Mickey Mouse and his pals are ready to welcome you on a breakfast adventure filled with pastries, seasonal sliced fruits, fresh berries, egg white frittatas, chile verde chilaquiles, hand-carved meats and of course, Mickey Waffles. I personally think everything Mickey shaped tastes better! Mickey and the rest of his friends make appearances throughout your meal but keep in mind that it is currently a modified experience where you’ll only be able to wave or take selfies with the characters.

Well Jenifer, I hope this birthday turns out to be the best one yet!

Remember, always believe in the Magic!
