We are planning dinner at Jiko the day we get to Disney. Does the dress code apply to children as well (collared shirts and such). Thanks and have a great day!

    Hi Lisa,

I recommend having your children dress according to the dress code.  Jiko is one of the nicest restaurants on Disney property, and your children should know that going there is a special treat.  I don't think anyone would say anything if your kids arrived in shorts & t-shirts, but I think they'll appreciate the experience more if they are dressed up a little bit.  Certainly collared shirts and nice shorts are perfectly acceptable for children -- no need to go overboard.  It is Walt Disney World, after all.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
