Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Shannon!
Choosing between the two different
Main Street Electrical Parade Dining Packages is difficult because they are both excellent options. The dining package at Blue Bayou Restaurant is a prix fixe three-course dinner at one of the most iconic restaurants in the parks. The parade viewing location for this package is in Town Square just across the way from the Disneyland Railroad, Main Street U.S.A. station. The package at Aladdin's Oasis is a quick service meal that you can either eat in Aladdin's Oasis, or you can take with you throughout the park. The viewing area for the Aladdin's Oasis package is by "it's a small world."
Since I like instant gratification, I might choose the
Main Street Electrical Parade On-The-Go Package at Aladdin's Oasis. Not only is your meal ready right away, but the parade starts by "it's a small world," so you won't wait long before the parade passes by. Then, like you mentioned, have a regular lunch at Blue Bayou Restaurant. You will have access to the full menu and, during
lunch, you can try the famous Le Special de Monte Cristo Sandwich. Remember that reservations for both meals are highly recommended and can be made online or by calling (714) 781-3463 up to 60 days in advance.
You really can't go wrong with either of these options and the parade itself is simply magnificent. Please return to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with any future questions. Happy planning!
