Aloha, Saranya, and welcome to planDisney! It's finally May, which means your magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation is just around the river bend, and I'm sure you're brimming with excitement for all the fun and memories you're about to uncover later this month! I'm excited you brought your question to us today because I'll take any chance I can to chat about fireworks and dinner at one of my favorites, 'Ohana!
It looks like during your visit,
Happily Ever After fireworks are scheduled for 9:20 PM all week at Magic Kingdom Park, so timing your dinner reservation to align with them depends on a few things. If you are looking to be finished with your meal to catch the fireworks at
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, I'd try to book dinner for some time between 7:30 and 8:00 PM. Typically, when we dine at
'Ohana, we budget about an hour and a half to enjoy our meal and the atmosphere of the restaurant. It's also important to keep in mind that sometimes reservation times here can be delayed, so adding a little time to the front end will ensure you have ample time to enjoy your meal and find a spot for fireworks viewing along the beach of the resort. You can also have a nice view of the fireworks from the
boat dock at the Polynesian, and we have even enjoyed watching them from onboard the
Disney Monorail heading back to the park after dinner.
If you'd rather catch the fireworks tableside at 'Ohana, I'd recommend booking your reservation for around 8:30 PM to ensure you are seated and comfortable before the fireworks begin. Catching the fireworks from inside the restaurant is one of my favorite experiences as the music of the show is piped into the dining room and the large windows give an excellent view of the show! If you aren't seated by a window, you are welcome to move from your table during the show for a better view.
Saranya, I hope this helps you to experience a magical view of Happily Ever After before, during, or after your dinner at 'Ohana! If you have any other vacation planning questions, come on back to the
planDisney 'Ohana and let us know! 'Ohana means family, and family means no vacation planning question gets left behind!
See you real soon,
Alison
