We are planning a Dec. 2010 family vac. w/ 2 adults and 4 kids (14, 10, 4, 4). We would like something with a kitchen to save on meals but will not have a vehicle to buy food. Any suggestions?

Hi Susan!  You have several choices for lodging during your stay.  You might want to consider one of the many villa type properties and can click HERE to see more information about them.  They will include kitchens and enough room for your entire family.

Another option is the Fort Wilderness cabins which can sleep up to 6 persons. They come also complete with a full kitchen. The sleeping arrangements seem tight for six and very little closet and storage but if you don't mind the suitcases being everywhere this is a great choice. The All Star family suites give you the room but only come with a small kitchenette area.

I have used the on line grocery delivery service, www.gardengrocer.com.  It was an excellent service and the items they offer on line were all I needed and then some.  We were staying at the cabins and when we opened the door to our cabin all the food was there and the perishables put away.  It was great not having to worry about taking extra time to get food for the week.  When you order you will be asked for a date for delivery and also a time.  Be sure and not wait until the last minute to do this as they book up quickly and can only deliver so many guests per day.
