We are planning 5 days for parks. Can we stay 6 or 7 days at our resort without going to the park? All the options involve price with ticket. We just want a day or 2 extra with no parks. Thank you in advance!!

Hi Amanda and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I think one of the ways my family survives a longer Walt Disney World Resort vacation is by having a break during the middle of our vacation. We like to plan to have a day without visiting any parks. We will sometimes venture out to Disney Springs but more frequently we simply enjoy a day at our resort pool.

You can certainly choose the number of days on the theme park ticket you purchase. You can also choose if you'd like to add the Park Hopper or Park Hopper Plus option. If you are pricing your vacation on the Walt Disney World website, when you choose to make your reservation a package with tickets you will be prompted to choose the number of days you wish for your theme park tickets. You can truly customize the options so you can have the Walt Disney World Resort vacation of your dreams.

If you are purchasing a package that includes a Special Offer, you may have to purchase a certain number days of theme park tickets to receive the discount. If you find yourself in that situation, I would weigh the cost of additional days of theme park tickets versus the money you will save with the special.

Amanda, thank you for visiting us with your question. I hope you'll let us know if we can help you with any other questions.
    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Amy H.
