Planning 2 days at MK, 1 day EPCOT, 1 day AK and a freebee. Kids are 6 and 5. I would like to know WDW transport modes and times between parks and AK lodge, contemporary and Polynesian as we can't decide on a resort. I think time will be a big factor! Thx!

Hi Victoria - for convenience, you absolutely can't beat the Polynesian.  Since you can walk to the Ticket and Transportation Center, you can take a monorail directly to the Magic Kingdom and to Epcot, and take buses from the TTC to Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios.  These buses run frequently and are rarely crowded.

The Contemporary is also convenient, because you can actually walk to the Magic Kingdom.  The walk is pretty easy - only about 10-15 minutes.  You'll have to transfer monorails to Epcot, and take buses to Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios.  Those buses often stop at other resorts, so the ride can be rather long.

While I do love the Animal Kingdom Lodge, it's the least convenient of the three for transportation.  You'll need to take a bus to all four locations, and while the buses generally don't stop at other resorts, the wait time for a bus can be a while.

Transit times are actually not the differentiating factor for the convenience of transportation - the wait time generally is.  Sometimes you can be lucky and catch a bus right away, but other times you'll have to wait up to 20 minutes.  The monorails run more frequently, and the transit time is shorter.

I hope that helps!  Have a great vacation!
