We're planning 2 days in Disneyland and wondering whether there is enough to do to spend a whole day at DCA or should we do 2 days at Disney? My kids are 11 and 8 and this our first time to Cali. I don't think we'd pay the extra $200hopper

Hello Katie, and welcome to planDisney!  How exciting that you'll be visiting the "Happiest Place on Earth" soon!

In my opinion Katie, we always can spend an entire day at Disney California Adventure Park.  My kids are around similar ages to yours, and Disney California Adventure Park features some of their favorite movies they've grown up with such as Cars, Monsters, Inc., the Incredibles, and Toy Story!

Cars Land and Avengers Campus are our two favorite lands to explore, we truly could be there all day.  If you have any Lightning McQueen or Mater fans, you cannot miss the opportunity to stroll through Radiator Springs and meet them in front of the Cozy Cone Motel.  They'll even have a conversation with you while you're getting your photo!  Radiator Springs also lights up in neon just like the movie when the sun goes down, it's a magical experience that we must see every trip.  You can ask a Cast Member for an approximate time, or search on your phone for when the sun will set in Anaheim, and make sure you're in Cars Land at that time.

Avengers Campus has some of the best entertainment as well as character experiences you'll encounter.  Our favorite is "The Amazing Spider-Man" show where you'll see your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man fly through the air!  If you make your way over near Pym Test Kitchen, you can grab some delicious snacks such as the Quantum Pretzel, as well as encounter some of your favorite Superheroes near the Avengers Headquarters building.

Another great place to let the kids get some energy out is the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail in Grizzly Peak.  My son could swing down the rope on the tire swings for hours, and the entire area has a calmer atmosphere than most of the park, which is a great place for a break throughout the day.

I hope this information was helpful for your upcoming trip Katie, and please do not hesitate to come back and ask me any other questions!

    Have a magical trip!
