Hello Robin, and welcome to planDisney!
You are so close to your dining reservation window opening wide open! I look at dining reservation day as my first rope drop day of my vacation!
Robin, your dining reservation window does open
60 days before your arrival date! If you are staying at a
Disney Resort, you will be able to book your dining reservations for the entire length of your stay, up to 10 days! What a great benefit for staying in the Disney bubble! If you are not staying at a Disney Resort, you will need to book dining reservations 60 days before each date.
Now to the dining rope drop part! Dining reservations open at approximately 6:00 a.m. so it's an early start to your first Disney day! I like to set my Mickey Mouse watch alarm for 5:45 a.m., fill up my Goofy mug with orange juice, fire up the
My Disney Experience mobile app and get it ready for dining reservation rope drop!
I have always had good luck getting the reservations I’ve wanted, but I’ve been prepared with a spread sheet of my trip that outlines which days we plan to be in each park so I can make dining reservations at the correct parks on the days we have planned. There are always some last-minute changes, but being prepared seems to work out best for us.
Robin, one last tip, the one dining reservation that I always make on every trip I plan is a stop at
Beaches & Cream Soda Shop at Disney’s Beach Club Resort! A lunch or early dinner of the
Beaches & Cream Grilled Cheese and onion rings topped off by a shared No Way Jose with my wife is always on our dining menu!
Robin, I hope you have a great dining reservation rope drop day and once you do get to the magic, don’t forget to enjoy a Mickey Bar or two!
Kurt
