Hi Lloyd and welcome back to planDisney - it's great to see you here again.
How exciting that you're planning a 3-week visit to
Walt Disney World, next year. My family did a 3-week trip, last year and it was absolutely amazing! I know a lot of my American friends are always jealous of our 2-week trips but honestly, there's so much to see and do that 2-weeks really isn't enough time to do absolutely everything and that extra week means that you have time to slow down a little and enjoy some well needed rest days in amongst your days at the Theme Parks and Water Parks.
If you were to book a 1-week Hotel + Ticket package (including a 7-Day Magic Ticket) for your first week followed by a separate 2-week Hotel + Ticket package (including a 14-Day Magic Ticket) for the second/third week of your visit, this would indeed allow you to enter the Theme Parks and Water Parks on any day that you would like, throughout your 3-week stay.
As I'm always looking for ways to save money/get the most value out of my own family's trips, might I suggest an alternative plan? You could book a Hotel + Ticket package comprising of a 3-week Hotel stay + 14-Day
Magic Tickets.
As 14-day Magic Tickets allow you to visit the Theme Parks on 14-days and Water Parks on 14 separate occasions, during an 18-day usage window, this would cover 18-days out of your 21-night stay.
For the final 3-days, at the end of your trip, you could spend time enjoying all of the amenities on offer at your Disney Resort hotel, visiting
Disney Springs or,
Disney's BoardWalk. You could also spend time checking out some of the other Disney Resort hotels.
My family often do this. We will have a wander around, maybe enjoy a meal at one of the restaurants or, try one of the
Sports and Recreation on offer there (additional charges may apply). Just bear in mind that you are not permitted to access the pools at any Resort hotel that you are not staying at.
We will do a loop of the
monorail, getting off at the the Contemporary Resort, Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and Polynesian Village Resort or, visit the Resort hotels with
Disney Skyliner access. We find that doing this is a great way of helping us to decide where we might like to stay during our next visit.
I hope that this has given you something to think about, Lloyd. There is so much more to see and do at Walt Disney World, outside of the Theme Parks and Water Parks.
If we can be of any other help with the planning of your trip, please feel free to re-visit us, here at planDisney. You can even
ask me a question directly if you would like a UK perspective on anything at all.
Wishing you a magical holiday filled with memories which will last a lifetime!
Emma
