Planning a 7 or 8 day trip will stay at WL part of the trip what is a good moderate choice? Our boys will be 4 and8 at time of trip Aug 23 2010. Or should we plan to cut other places and just stay at WL the whole time. Thanks for all your help!

    Hi Sharon,

Resort hopping can be really fun!  The moderate resorts are all quite nice.  If your boys are big pirate fans you might want to try booking one of the new pirate themed rooms at Caribbean Beach.  The resort itself has an island feel and the new themed pool is really fun!

When you're ready to switch resorts, bell services will take your bags from one resort to the next.  You can go play in the parks, and your bags will be delivered to your new room. It's really convenient.

I would recommend staying at the moderate resort first.  Even though the moderates are really nice, they do lack some of the amenities that you'll find in the deluxe resorts.  The differences will be much more noticeable if you downgrade during your vacation.  You'll be much happier ending your vacation in the deluxe resort.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
