We are planning a 7 day trip in June or July due to the special. We have 4 adults and 2 kids (4, 1). We were looking at POP, but would need 2 rooms. Any economical suggestions on the resorts offering 2 bdrm rooms vs. booking 2 rooms at POP or Movies?

    Nicole:

For your party size, here are several recommendations in order of price:
    • Trundle-bed room at Port Orleans Riverside: Accommodates 5 plus an infant in a crib.  Might be a little tight, honestly, but an option, none-the-less.
    • Family Suites at All-Star Music:  Comfortably sleeps 6 with two bathrooms, a kitchenette, and a bedroom that's perfect for privacy.  Act quickly as these suites are very popular and book up fast!
    • Fort Wilderness Cabins:  Can sleep 6 and would provide privacy with its bedroom that includes a double bed and bunks.  You'll also get a Murphy bed in the living/dining area.  The full kitchen and grill on the deck would allow you to save money on a few meals to cover the upgrade to the cabin.
    • Deluxe Resorts: all but Wilderness Lodge offer standard rooms that sleep 5 and can accommodate an infant in a crib. The room will be more expensive and offer less privacy than the family suite or cabin, but the pool and park vicinity might be a good trade-off.  The biggest bang for your buck is the Garden Wing of the Contemporary resort!
    • One- or Two-Bedroom Villa:  Your most expensive option, but will accommodate your entire party.  Prices vary greatly!  If you want to compare prices, I recommend going to www.allears.net and clicking on Accommodations at the top and then choosing each resort's fact sheet on the right of the screen!  Two rooms at the value resorts are still cheaper than one of these...
    Wishing you a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
