Hiya Jackie,
Welcome to planDisney! I’m so excited to hear that you are planning a three-day vacation at Walt Disney World Resort! Your little Mouseketeers are going to have the most magical time. My little one is not even a year old yet, and she is enchanted when she visits.
Your sister-in-law sounds like quite the Fairy Godmother! How wonderful that she wants to gift your little one Theme Park tickets using the
Florida Resident rate. Florida Residents with
valid proof of residency can purchase Theme Park tickets at the Florida Resident rate for Guests under 18, so she can buy them for your children. Your sister-in-law would not have to visit the Theme Parks with you all three days for your children’s tickets to work, but she would need to present to activate the Theme Park tickets at
Guest Relations before first use.
If your sister-in-law doesn’t want to visit the Theme Parks at all, she can activate the Theme Park tickets at
Guest Services at Disney Springs instead. This would save her from paying for parking at the Theme Parks as well! In my experience, the lines are much shorter at Disney Springs to speak with a Cast Member at Guest Services than at the Theme Parks, and it has the added bonus of getting some shopping in.
I hope this was helpful, Jackie. Please come back and see us if you need anything else!
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
