We are planning a day at MK. We have an ADR for Calif. Grill at 5pm. Is it true we can use our dinner receipt to go back to CG to watch the fireworks later in the evening? Is it a short walk from MK? Can we park at the Contemporary if we decide to go back

    Hello, Danielle,

California Grill is a favorite restaurant for my family. The combination of the amazing menu and breathtaking views are truly unforgettable moments for us each and every time we visit there.  And of course, there are also the fireworks to enjoy.  As a guest of the restaurant, you are invited to come back later in the evening to enjoy them.  A cast member will fill you in on the details about how it works, but essentially you'll just want to hold onto your receipt to gain access back to the restaurant.  Once there, you'll get to enjoy Wishes with a whole different perspective that is just as wonderful as being in the Magic Kingdom.  The music is piped into the restaurant, too, so you'll have that added layer of magic to your evening.

It is very easy to walk from the Magic Kingdom to Disney's Contemporary Resort.  We find it takes us around 5-10 minutes to walk depending on our pace.  Since you are dining at the resort, you are welcome to park at Disney's Contemporary Resort.  I'd have your reservation number handy in case they ask for it.

Have a wonderful Magic Kingdom day!  If we can help with any further questions, please let us know.  We are happy to help. -Kara
