Planning 7 day Mediterranean cruise from Barcelona July 13, 2026. There are 5 Deluxe Oceanview staterooms with Verandahs, with points ranging from 409-432. What's the difference? Rooms are noted as 5A-5C, and 6A & B. Are these decks?

Hello, Dell! Thanks for sailing to planDisney with your question. Welcome!

How exciting to be planning a Disney Cruise through the Mediterranean this upcoming summer. Not only will you be visiting beautiful ports of call in some of the world's most scenic places, but you'll be treated to world-class service and outstanding entertainment offerings throughout your voyage. I'd be happy to share some helpful information so you can choose the best stateroom for you.

The Deluxe Oceanview Staterooms with Verandahs on board your ship are labeled as categories 5,6, and 7. The categories are further classified with a letter such as 5A or 6A. The differences between these categories are very slight, and typically have to do with the deck and location (midship versus forward or aft. For example, on the Disney Dream, a category 5A stateroom is midship on Deck 9 or 10, while a category 6A stateroom is located on Deck 8 or 9, aft. The prices vary between the categories. If you are looking for the greatest savings for the same size stateroom, choose 6B instead of 5A. If the location of the stateroom matters to you (some guests prefer to be midship), you'll likely want the category 5A out of the options you have mentioned.

I have sailed in many categories and have been pleased with my choices. I've found the staterooms to be well-appointed, the Crew Members who clean the rooms to be friendly and helpful, and best of all, the staterooms are just steps away from the magic and fun included when you sail with Captain Minnie and Captain Mickey.

If you have more questions, my pals and I are all ears! Hope to see ya real soon!

    Happy Planning,

    Adrianna
