I am planning a day at Disney Springs before leaving on a cruise for my mom’s 60th. We are going to stay at Holiday Inn Disney Springs. Our flight arrives at 8, so we’ll have most of the day. I want to seej the fireworks that night. Any ideas of what to do

Welcome back, Allyson, to planDisney! A day at Disney Springs with a little shopping, people watching, and snacking is an awesome way to kick off your vacation.

If catching the fireworks is on your must-do list, I highly recommend hopping on a bus from Disney Springs to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. All guests, even if not staying at a Disney resort, can enjoy Disney's complimentary transportation options while they are on property. From the resort’s beautiful marina area or the beach near Gasparilla Island Grill, you’ll get a stunning view of Magic Kingdom’s fireworks across Seven Seas Lagoon, without needing a park ticket!

Even better? The fireworks music is piped in, so you can sing along to all your favorite Disney songs while soaking in the magical atmosphere. It’s a peaceful and enchanting way to end your evening.

Give yourself at least an hour to travel from Disney Springs to the Grand Floridian, as you'll need to factor in wait time for the bus and travel. The fireworks show begins at 9:20pm on the day of your visit, so leave Disney Springs about 8:20pm to give you plenty of time. The show time is subject to change, so be sure to check the My Disney Experience app before heading to the show.

Once the fireworks show wraps up, you can easily hop back on a Disney bus to Disney Springs and make your way back to your hotel from there. However, if you're looking for a quicker and more direct option, consider using a rideshare service like Lyft or Uber. These services can pick you up right from the main entrance at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, making your return trip a breeze back to your hotel.
