Ahoy, Lisa!
Welcome aboard the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Congratulations on planning your first cruise aboard Disney Cruise Line!
I recommend that you choose a stateroom Midship on one of the lower decks to feel the least amount of motion from the ocean. With that being said, we've set sail aboard three-night voyages on the Disney Dream and have not experienced much movement of the ship. I understand everyone is different, though! Before your cruise, you may want to talk to your family doctor about taking over-the-counter motion sickness medication a couple days prior to and during your cruise.
There are many transportation options to choose from depending on where you're staying the night before! If you're staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, I recommend taking
Disney Cruise Line's Ground Transportation from your Resort hotel to the Cruise Terminal and then back to the airport after you cruise.
The Fish Extender exchange is not a Disney Cruise Line sponsored activity, but still so much fun to get involved with. I recommend doing an online search for "Disney Cruise Line Fish Extender Groups." I've found groups on Facebook and popular fan forums in the past.
Arr, Matey!
Pirate Night is my favorite night on the high seas! Pirate Night is typically on night two, after visiting Nassau, during three-night voyages. Please note that schedules are always subject to change. Once onboard, you will receive a Personal Navigator newsletter detailing all the activities for the day, including Pirate Night, as well as each evening's dinner attire. Definitely be sure to pack your eye patch and let your inner pirate out!
Lisa, I hope you have a DREAM-y cruise!
