Hello, and welcome to planDisney, Ruthita!
How wonderful to hear that you are planning a Disney Cruise to celebrate your husband's 90th birthday! Happy birthday to him! A Disney Cruise is a great option for a multi-generational vacation. There will be plenty of opportunities to spend time together over
delicious meals, while taking in
live entertainment, or visiting the
exciting ports of call. There will also be time to unwind and relax, or for the kids in your group to check out the spaces onboard
just for them. You'll find something for everyone!
Some of my favorite itineraries visit Disney's island destinations,
Disney Castaway Cay, or
Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point. You can head to the
Find a Cruise page on the Disney Cruise Line website and filter the itineraries that are displayed by cruise length and destination. I would start by selecting the four to six-night itineraries that visit the Bahamas or Caribbean. Choose the months you are interested in sailing to narrow down the options for you. You cannot go wrong with any of the Disney Cruise Line ships. There is something unique to love about each of them.
Once you find the itinerary that suits your sailing crew, you may either book the
staterooms you need on the website or you may
call Disney Cruise Line to assist with the booking. Sometimes, larger parties prefer to book over the phone. The agents can also help with
ground transportation and
flights if you'd like additional assistance with travel planning. Be sure to mention that you are
celebrating a birthday onboard!
For some additional birthday fun, take a peek at the
Onboard Gifts section of the Disney Cruise Line website. You can order decorations or a cake to mark the occasion. Ruthita, please sail back to planDisney if you have more questions. My pals and I will be here for you.
Happy Planning!
