Hello we are planning my daughters sweet 16 to WDW for probably May 2014. Our party will consist of myself, my husband, my daughter and her 5 friends(all 16 at the time of travel) Can you tell me the best options and possibilities in planning our vacation?

    Hi Brittany!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

May is a beautiful time to visit Walt Disney World.  While it can still be hot and humid, generally it is much less so than it would be in the summer.  The crowds are also typically less then.

If you are looking for money saving options, I suggest visiting the independent website MouseSavers.com.  There you will find a lot of money saving tips and strategies.  Mouse Savers is one of the first sites I go to when planning my own Disney vacation.

If you need help with your itinerary, you might want to visit the independent website TouringPlans.com.  That is the website for the research team behind the tour book "The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World".  They are famous in the Disney fan community for producing a crowd calendar that predicts the crowd levels in the various parks throughout the year.  Their recommendations and predictions are based on a lot of math and years of data collection.  I am a huge fan of their work.

Be sure to make Advance Dining Reservations for any Table Service restaurants you want to dine in.  They are critical, especially for restaurants in the theme parks and the various Disney Character Dining Experiences.  Reservations can be made online or by calling (407) WDW-DINE.

Our responses are limited in length, but I hope this helps  Please write back with more questions!
