A warm welcome from all of us at planDisney to you, Lizbeth. Celebrating your little one's first birthday is special on its own, but celebrating at the Disneyland Resort brings in another level of magic. Let's chat about how to turn your visit into a family core memory.
You'll be visiting during Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort, and the resort will be decked out in all of its gourd-geous fall glory. A picture in front of the giant Mickey pumpkin to commemorate your visit will be a must, and there will be a
Disney PhotoPass Photographer there to make sure everyone gets in the picture. I recommend considering investing in Disney PhotoPass+ One Day to capture all of the magical moments that you'll want to look back on from this trip. Photos are often my most treasured souvenirs from my visits.
While you're in Town Square, you just may encounter Minnie Mouse, Mickey Mouse and friends in their festive seasonal fits. This is a great place to find both Mickey and Pluto for a meet and greet in Disneyland Park. If you're wondering where you might find other characters throughout your visit, look no further than the
Disneyland app. In the app, you'll find a map of the park where you can locate all characters that are available to meet during the day. If you're looking for Woody, Buzz, Jessie and other characters from Toy Story, I would head to Pixar Pier near Toy Story Midway Mania!, where you'll often find these toys playing around.
Right now, there's a super cute and fun live musical show starring Bluey and Bingo.
Bluey's Best Day Ever! is playing in the Fantasyland Theater right now. The only catch is that this show is only around for a limited time and we're not sure if it will still be available during the spooky Halloween season. Be sure to check the Disneyland app to see if it's still running during your visit. If not, there's another fun dance party that you can enjoy with your little one.
Mickey's Trick and Treat is a great place for you and your little one to dance along with bubbles and Mickey and pals in costume. You'll find this party at the Disney Theater in Hollywood Land, in Disney California Adventure Park.
There are also plenty of rides at both parks that you can all enjoy together as a family. In the Disneyland app, you can filter attractions for those without a height requirement. Some of my favorite rides that fall in this category are the Disneyland Railroad and Dumbo the Flying Elephant.
To have your best Disney day ever, what I recommend the most is going at your own pace and taking time to soak in all of the magic. The best things that I leave the park with are the things that live on in my heart and in my memories. For something tangible, stop into a shop on Main Street, U.S.A. and ask a Cast Member for a "1st Visit!" button as a keepsake, or for your daughter's scrapbook.
Finally, it's good to know that there are also
Baby Care Centers available in both parks. Here you'll find quiet places to feed or nurse, changing tables and select baby care items available for purchase if you forgot anything.
Lizbeth, while I only scratched the surface, I hope that this gives you a great start for your upcoming visit. Please come back to see us with any other questions that you might have. Here's wishing you a most magical visit to the Happiest Place on Earth!
