Hi Harinoor! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney.
My family has celebrated many a birthday at the parks, so I know these memories of your daughter's first birthday will be filled with joy and fun. There are so many ways to make the day extra special. I can share with you some ways we like to mark a birthday while visiting Disneyland Resort, and which of those will take a little planning ahead.
First, I might suggest staying close to the parks. It makes your visit much easier, and when you're traveling with little ones, that's all the more important. The
Disneyland Resort Hotels are currently booking rooms and Vacation Packages for all of 2024. You can't beat their location for convenient access to the parks. Plus they're magically themed, which makes the experience really special. Our favorite is Disneyland Hotel, which has convenient access to the Disneyland Monorail that will take you directly into Tomorrowland in Disneyland Park. With little ones, Fantasyland is a really good fit for a day in the parks, and you'll be just a few steps away when you get off the Disneyland Monorail.
Disneyland Hotel also has one of the iconic
Character Dining Experiences, Goofy's Kitchen. I think celebrating a little one's birthday with Character Dining is the perfect way to have your daughter interact with Characters without having to wait in queues. You'll also enjoy a yummy meal, and she can eat off your plate. Dining typically can be booked 60 days out, so you'll want to make a reminder for yourself on your mobile device. Popular dining locations like Goofy's Kitchen or Minnie & Friends - Breakfast in the Park in Plaza Inn on Main Street, U.S.A. at Disneyland Park can fill up fast. Booking as soon as they open for reservations is a good idea!
Also, at select dining locations, you can reserve a
Mickey Mouse Celebration Cake. When your little one is turning one, you want to capture those cake pictures! You'll be able to arrange for the cake when you make your reservation. Just pack some wipes for clean up because I'm sure you'll have her royally dressed for her special day.
Taking lots of pictures will help preserve the day forever.
Disney's PhotoPass Service allows everyone to be in the pictures, including you! The photographers are talented professionals. There are bound to be some special ones you'll want to frame.
Finally, when you arrive, be sure to pick up a
Complimentary Birthday Button from Guest Services at Disney California Adventure Park or City Hall on Main Street, U.S.A. in Disneyland Park. Everyone will know your daughter is celebrating! You never know what magic will happen. It's a great little souvenir.
My favorite keepsake souvenir is the hand-cut silhouettes available at the
Silhouette Studio on
Main Street, U.S.A. in Disneyland Park, which is also an affordable choice. Get your daughter's silhouette cut by a talented artist in just a couple of minutes. You'll have the option to purchase a frame. One nice thing about this souvenir is that the artist will be cutting two silhouettes, which means you can keep one and give the other as a gift. Grandparents love receiving a silhouette of their grandchild!
I hope this helps.
