Hello, I am planning my daughters 21st birthday and want to know if we can get adjoining rooms at The Grand Californian? There will be 8-10 of us.

Greetings, Jeana, and welcome to planDisney. Please also wish your daughter A Very Merry Unbirthday from all of us as well!

There’s nothing I enjoy more than celebrating any celebration at one of the Disney Parks. If we aren’t celebrating at the Disneyland Resort, you can find us welcoming another year at Walt Disney World Resort. I even have a quick trip as an early birthday celebration planned for my oldest Mouseketeer. It's a surprise and he has no idea where we will be in a short few weeks. I’m so excited!

In other good news, all of the Disneyland Resort hotels have a limited number of connecting rooms. To book, connecting rooms, or adjoining rooms, I recommend calling the Hotel Reservations phone line to speak with a Cast Member. At that time, you may request connecting rooms. Please keep in mind that due to varying availability, this will only be a request and it is not a guarantee. Although from my experience, the Disneyland Resort does an incredible job of trying to meet as many requests as they can. So fingers and toes crossed it works out!

Since you do have a large party traveling with you. You may want to consider a 2 or 3 bedroom suite. They can sleep anywhere from 11 to 12 adults so that’s plenty of room for everyone traveling with you. Plus, you all will be in the same room. No matter what, I’m sure you all will have the most magical time celebrating at The Happiest Place on Earth. Have fun and please be sure to let us know if there’s anything else we can help with.

Meet the Panelist: Shantel, Texas

Hi! I'm Shantel from Arizona. I am a mom of two and a military wife. I grew up going to the parks, and now we're sharing that tradition with our kids. When I am not visiting the Walt Disney World Resort, I'm at home researching and planning for our next trip. One of my favorite things to do is search for new snacks to try, especially if they are Mickey-shaped. I'm definitely living the dream my heart wished for and I cannot wait to answer your questions and help make your vacation even more magical! Learn More About Shantel
