Hello, I am planning to take my daughter for her birthday in March which happens to fall during spring break (March 13-20, 2010). We would like to take my parents with us but my father is partially blind, how can we make this trip enjoyable for him?

Disney provides a Descriptive Audio for the blind that will enrich your father's park experience.  It describes attractions through narratives and can be rented for a $25 deposit, I believe, at the park's Guest Services.

You may also want to check out a blog entry at I found that was written by a man who is sight-impaired.  You can find it by going to the main page and choosing Planning and then going to the left-hand side of the page and choosing Visual Impairments.  There, you'll find some valuable tips on how to make the parks a good experience for your father and also some ideas on what to request in a room.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
