Hi Paulami!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
When my daughter turned 5-years-old we also celebrated her birthday with her very first visit to the Walt Disney World Resort! Just like you I wanted to make it extra special, that is why I recommend staying at a Disney Resort hotel to be immersed in the magic and enjoy exclusive benefits. We stayed in a Little Mermaid standard room at
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort and it was simply perfect.
I suggest planning two days to
visit Magic Kingdom Park. Our thrill seeker loved all attractions, and the only one she was unable to ride due to her height was Space Mountain - she had an amazing time on Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. Festival of Fantasy Parade was also a big hit, as well as Mickey's PhilharMagic, Enchanted Tales with Belle, and the fireworks show at night – currently Happily Ever After. At
Epcot her favorites are Test Track and Soarin’ Around the World, and we cannot wait to soon visit Toy Story Land in Disney’s Hollywood Studios to ride
Slinky Dog Dash.
To make her day extra special we booked an appointment at
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, and made reservations for a special meal with Disney Princesses at Cinderella’s Royal Table. Reservations are highly recommended for both experiences and can be made up to 180 days in advance.
Best magical wishes,
Thiana
