Hi Anne-Marie,
There is nothing I like more than planning an adults evening out enjoying some of the terrific dining and entertainment options available at Walt Disney World...especially if those plans involve a romantic date night! As a self-described "tired mama of 6", there is no question that you deserve a special night out, Anne-Marie, so let's plan now to make this happen.
I love that you have short-listed California Grill and Narcoossee's, as these would be two of my very top picks for date night restaurants. Here's some "food for thought" (pardon the pun) to help you make your delicious decision, Anne-Marie.
Narcoossee's is an upscale and classy restaurant located in a gorgeous outer building on the far water side of the Resort with spectacular views of the Seven Seas Lagoon and Cinderella Castle. It has a relaxed atmosphere and seasoned and experienced staff who will be attentive to your every need. And it goes without saying that the food is terrific. It is hard not to feel spoiled after dining here. Watching Happily Ever After fireworks from Magic Kingdom either from your table inside the restaurant or (even better) outside on the wrap around deck is a terrific way to cap your evening.
As much as I thoroughly enjoy Narcoossee's though, my clear preference is
California Grill. Perched atop Disney's Contemporary Resort, this restaurant boasts some of the most fantastic panoramic views of Magic Kingdom, Bay Lake, and surrounding areas. It has an upbeat, energetic vibe with much of the restaurant having plain sight lines into the busy and hustling open kitchen. The food and service is incredible, and in my view it's the best place to watch Happily Ever After!
Bon Appetit, and much love!
Trish
