Hi, Nathalia! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney!
As the mom of a child with special needs, I really appreciate the way that
Walt Disney World Resort goes above and beyond to
make the magic accessible to everyone. My son has autism, and when we visit the Walt Disney World theme parks, we use Disability Access Service (DAS). DAS is an accommodation intended for Guests who, due to a disability, cannot wait in a traditional queue environment.
The DAS program has seen some recent updates such as the ability to pre-register for DAS via a live video chat with a Cast Member. When a Guest pre-registers for DAS, they may also have the opportunity to select up to two DAS Advance experiences per day. These updates to the DAS system are still very new, and at this time, they are only offered to Guests who reside in the United States and Canada. No need to worry though. It's still very easy for Guests from other countries who need this accommodation to register for DAS.
Since you won't be able to pre-register for DAS, you'll want to head directly to
Guest Relations when you arrive at one of the Walt Disney World theme parks. When you visit Guest Relations, you can speak with a Cast Member, and together, you'll decide if DAS is the right accommodation for you. The in-person registration process is quick and easy. Even though you won't be able to book any DAS Advance experiences, I'm certain that you will still be able to accomplish all of your
must-dos by booking DAS ride return times on the day of your theme park visit.
If you have any other questions about your upcoming trip, please feel free to visit
planDisney again. We would love to help you have the most magical vacation ever! See ya real soon!
Samantha
