We are planning a cruise. At the time my youngest will be 2.5, but potty trained. Do they ever make exceptions for the kids clubs (3-12)? I know that there is a nursery, but I'm concerned he'll struggle being away from his older brother

    Ahoy Jen –

Welcome aboard! We are so thrilled to hear about your cruise planning, and thank you for stopping by for a visit. Your 2 sea pups will have a fabulous time playing together on their Disney cruise. The Oceaneer Club is for pirate children ages 3-12, and it is a fun oasis for tiger cubs to play under the watchful supervision of trained Youth Counselors. In this case, the age limits are strict, and children younger than 3 are not allowed to play during secured programming hours. Your 2 sea cubs will have opportunities to play together under your supervision during the many Open House sessions available in the Oceaneer Club and at all of the Youth Clubs onboard. Initially I was worried about the same thing with my toddler and preschooler, but to my surprise, he took off in the Nursery and had fabulous adventures and personal interactions with the Youth Counselors there. I advise your family to play together in the Nursery during Open House on the first day so that your younger pirate cub will feel comfortable and acclimated. Jen, the Disney Parks Moms Panel is always here to help, so come back again if you have more questions.
