Ahoy Eri!
Welcome to planDisney! Wow, so happy to hEAR from you from Japan. Sorry that some previous cancellations have postponed your travel plans, but my goal is to get you steered in the right direction to having new Disney Cruise Line reservations in a jiffy. We’re enablers like that in wanting others to make Disney vacation plans!
To cruise or not to cruise, that is the question! So naturally, I will always come down on the side of cruising, but I understand what you are asking. As someone who had a cruise cancelled last year, I can totally relate to wanting to take full advantage of that
Future Cruise Credit.
Basically, if you already have a Future Cruise Credit and you decide after moving it to another itinerary to ultimately cancel it, then you would be refunded any amount that you paid out of pocket. However, you do not receive reimbursement for the extra 25% you may have received if your cruise had been paid in full when it was previously cancelled. Basically, that would be like double dipping, and that’s not how this incentive system that Captain Mickey created works! You may still keep moving your Future Cruise Credit to
sailings through September 30, 2022. That is the cutoff date that Disney Cruise Line has selected for these Future Cruise Credits to be used.
What I have been recommending to all my friends who stop by planDisney asking about a Future Cruise Credit or specifics about their reservation is to contact a Disney Cruise Line Vacation Planning Specialist at 800-939-2784. They can apply the credit to your future sailing and give you details about your booking.
If you made your reservation, then you can also access the Future Cruise Credit online by logging into your Disney Cruise Line account. (If you used a Travel Agent for your reservation, then the inquiry would go to that agent instead.)
The Future Cruise Credit can be used to secure a new itinerary from
all the fabulous ones available. And if there is any balance after you make your selection(s), it will be placed in your onboard account as a non-refundable onboard credit. It typically takes 10-14 days for the future cruise credit to show on your reservation.
Whatever you decide, I hope a Disney cruise is on the horizon for you. Chart a course back to planDisney if we can be of further assistance in any of your vacation planning.
SEA ya real soon!
