Hi there, Laura!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am so glad that found us while resEARching a Disney Cruise Line vacation. I cannot say enough WONDERful things about a Disney Cruise Line vacation and the memories made on one and am so glad you are considering one!
Many people have hesitation about being onboard a ship while at sea – for one reason or another, and I hope that I can help ease your mind and make you feel comfortable with whatever decision you make. Currently the
Disney Wonder is the ship that sails the Mexican Riviera and it does have three banks of elevators (forward, midship and aft), but if ALSO has stairs at each of those locations. Now that my boys have outgrown the need for strollers onboard, my family actually prefers taking the stairs because they can sometimes become very busy, especially during prime times! I do want to caution you that the Disney Wonder has 10 decks, so you may want to browse the
deck plans when making your stateroom selection so that you are aware of the flights of stairs you will be taking to get from place to place.
There is so much awaiting you on a Disney Cruise Line vacation - at sea and while at port! And, the Disney Wonder happens to be home to one of my favorite onboard restaurants,
Tiana’s Place, where I always indulge way too much on the delicious Cajun cuisine, including hot beignets and bread pudding! Good thing I don’t mind taking the stairs to work off all that deliciousness!
I hope that this information is helpful as you continue researching and planning! If you have any other questions, please come back to “sea” us!
