Hello, Natalie! Thank you for returning to planDisney with your question. Welcome back!
A Disney Cruise is the ultimate family vacation because your entire crew can enjoy many activities together, including deck parties, evening shows, first-run movies, character greetings, trivia, and more. But when it comes to magical experiences, there's a shipload available on every sailing!
I called a Disney reservation agent, and she shared that
Disney’s Oceaneer Lab and
Disney’s Oceaneer Club are for toiled trained children ages 3 to 12. While I can’t wave a magic wand and change the rules, I do have a few suggestions to ensure your special guest has a magical and accessible voyage. When my son was still learning to control his bladder, we would have him use the restroom before taking him to the club, and then we would check on him every hour. He frequently would stay for a couple of hours, and then we would pick him up and head to our next activity as a family. It’s always a good idea to alert the Youth Activity Counselors of your specific needs or concerns to see their suggestions.
Another option is to explore the imaginative youth spaces together during
Open House hours. Games, crafts, and defending the galaxy bring out the kid in all of us! You can find the Open House times listed in the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app once you board the ship.
Finally, I recommend taking a look at the services available for
Guests with Disabilities. I promise, Natalie, you’ll find plenty to do from bow to stern. I hope this helps to put everyone’s mind at ease. Please sail our way again. We love helping Guests plan unforgettable vacations.
SEAS the adventure!
