Planning cruise on the Fantasy. See that only 2nd seating is available. How late is that 2nd seating time scheduled for?

    Ahoy, Danielled!

Thank you for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. Dining onboard the Disney cruise ship is a favorite event for me and my family each night. It's our family's sacred time, where we dine and get updates from everyone about their day. The restaurants are wonderful, and it allows each of us to explore new types of food and menu items. Our family always takes the 2nd seating. We usually will be able to head over to the dining rooms at around 8pm. We will see the evening show first at 6pm, take a little stroll around the shops and then make our way to our assigned restaurant in the evening. Sometimes, we stop for pictures at the lobby atrium, since the Disney professional photographers will setup their Disney Cruise Ship signature backgrounds in the evenings before dinner... these photos make great souvenirs!

If you think eating at 8pm will be too late for you and your family, you can try to request a change on embarkation day. The restaurant managers will usually be available on the same afternoon to handle these types of requests. You'll need to check with Guest Services where they are, so that you can stop by and see if they can switch you over.

I hope this helps. Please do let us know if you have any additional questions that we can help with.

    Have a magical day!
