Although the exact stateroom options are going to vary by ship, the two best options for your party of six would be to either book one of the exclusive suites that could accommodate your entire party or to book two connecting staterooms like you mentioned.
There are concierge staterooms and suites that can accommodate six guests, but they can be very difficult to book because the inventory is so limited. You can only fit six guests in the Concierge 2-Bedroom Suite with Verandah or Concierge Royal Suite with Verandah options aboard the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder. Similarly, only the two-story Concierge Tower Suites will hold a party of six on the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy. Six guests can fit in the Concierge 1-Story Royal Suite with Verandah, Concierge 2-Story Royal Suite with Verandah, and Concierge Tower Suites found on the Disney Wish, Disney Treasure, and Disney Destiny. And six guests can fit in almost any concierge stateroom found aboard the Disney Adventure. If you are interested in one of those options, then I suggest calling Disney Cruise Line directly at (800) 951-3532 because cast members will be able to see the actual inventory for upcoming sailings and can help book your larger party.
Alternatively, there are plenty of connecting staterooms that would allow your party of six to sail together in the Inside, Oceanview, or Verandah categories as well. The easiest way to find connecting rooms is to use the Disney Cruise Line “Plan a Cruise” feature and narrow down your options based on your personal preferences.
To see current stateroom availability for upcoming sailings, follow these steps:
- Start by clicking on the “Plan a Cruise” tab at the top of the main website.
- Then click on the white box at the left labeled “Leaving” and choose your preferred months.
- You can narrow down your search further by choosing your desired destination under “Sailing to” or your planned departure port under “Departing from.”
- Once you have your preferred filters in place, click on the blue “View Dates” button to see the available itineraries.
- After you click on your desired itinerary, you will be able to pick a particular sailing date and can then click the blue “Continue” button.
- From there, you will be able to select the number of staterooms needed and the number of guests that will be staying in each stateroom.
- Be sure to click on the button at the far right that says “Connecting Rooms” to narrow your search results and then click the blue button labeled “Confirm Travel Party.”
- That will take you to a new page that says “Select Stateroom Type” and you can see the available options.
- You will then be able to choose the exact type of stateroom you want, followed by the deck, and exact room numbers.
By following these steps, you should be able to see all of the connecting staterooms that can accommodate your entire family on your desired sailing. Just keep in mind that if you are specifically looking for staterooms with balconies, then you must choose staterooms in the Verandah category.
