Planning a 2012 cruise to either W Caribbean or Europe. It looks like prices have gone up for the W C cruise since I first looked. Are the best prices when the cruises are first posted? How long before the price goes up? How do I get the best price?

    Ahoy, Christy!

As a general rule of thumb when planning a cruise, you get a better priced cruise the longer out you plan. So, yes...more than likely, the prices will climb as you get closer to your planned cruise date. Of course, with any kind of travel, it's all based on supply and demand -- which can change quickly and sometimes be surprising. Therefore, I encourage you to look around at alternative dates and itineraries, ask a Travel Agent to research your trip and weigh your options. In addition, don't tarry too long on your decision. Plus, don't forget once you are aboard a Disney ship to make plans for your next one before you disembark -- usually you can save as much as 10 percent off your next sailing with The Big Cheese!

I hope this helps you plan. Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
