Planning a cruise on the Dream in March, 2012. Does the deluxe oceanview stateroom provide enough room for 2 adults and 2 kids 4/6 or should we book a deluxe family oceanview stateroom. Also, is the upper bunk bed safe so falling out isn't an issue?

    Hi, Jenn!

Congratulations on your cruise aboard Disney's Dream this spring! I just got off the ship, and I'm still dreaming!

If I understand you correctly, your two small children with two adults should be well accommodated in either a deluxe oceanview stateroom or a deluxe family oceanview stateroom. They both have the same amenities with less than 40 square feet of difference. Also, the upper bunk bed does have safety railings.

Remember...although Disney Cruise Line boasts some of the largest staterooms compared to industry standards, the staterooms range from 169 square feet to 299 square feet -- compared to deluxe resort rooms at Walt Disney World at approximately 400 square feet. So, there's not going to be extra elbow room, but you'll have what you need for the four of you.

I hope that helps you plan. Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
