We are planning a cruise on the Dream in March. We have a daughter 14, a son 17 and his girlfriend who just turned 18. Is there any way that the 18 year old can be allowed to attend Vibe with my son who is her boyfriend? Is there some sort of waiver?

    Welcome Aboard, Sherry!

I'm happy to hear you'll be setting sail on the beautiful Disney Dream very soon! Thanks for stopping by with your question.

The Youth Clubs on the Disney ships are one of the main reasons we love sailing with Disney Cruise Line. Our kids have enjoyed every youth area, from It's A Small World Nursery all the way up to Vibe, the teen club. It's so nice to have a safe place that our kids can hang out while my husband and I enjoy a nice dinner or visit the nightclubs and lounges.

When it comes to attending Vibe, I'm not sure what the policy would be for a cruiser that's just turned eighteen. Their age restrictions limit the participants to be between the ages of fourteen and seventeen, and there's not a lot of wiggle room with cruisers that age out of the club. Since yours is a unique situation, my suggestion is to speak with the Youth Counselors once you board the ship. While I can't guarantee they will be able to make an exception for you, they can certainly help come up with a solution that works for everyone!

I hope you and your family have an awesome time sailing the high seas with Captain Mickey! - Diane W.
