Oh boy! That sounds like an amazing adventure. I can see how it might seem like an overwhelming planning challenge too. To that, I say, "Hakuna matata!" It means, "No worries!" That's because "you've got a friend in me" and my fellow planDisney Panelists. We are happy to help break it all down into simple steps. To get started, I recommend the following three actions.
- Choose a cruise date that works for everyone and a destination that interests the majority of the party.
- Identify the number of staterooms you'll need and who you expect to stay in each stateroom.
- If booking more than four staterooms at a time, call Disney Cruise Line directly. Or if members of your party plan to book their cruise reservations separately, bookings of four or fewer staterooms at a time may be made using the Find a Cruise tool online.
For each Guest, you'll need to collect the following personal information to add them to a new reservation:
Because you have so many people in your party and so many options to choose from, I recommend having a single leader help guide the planning process. When several of our friends and our families decided to go on a Disney cruise together a few years ago, we were fortunate to have one friend (who happened to be a former planDisney Panelist herself!) who took charge of guiding the planning and booking. She offered our group only a few options to choose from for each decision point. By keeping things relatively simple and limited like that, it was not surprising how quickly and smoothly the planning process went. Even with more than two dozen members of our party of all ages in eight total staterooms, booking reservations and making travel plans came together without any major issues. Our cruise aboard the Disney Magic, visiting both Disney island destinations, was an incredibly magical vacation for everyone.
