    We are planning on creating a R2D2 droid at the depot. We have previously purchased a bb8 sphero droid. Will a droid made from the depot interact with the Sphero droid? Do the droids built at the depot have their own app?

    We’re incredibly happy to see your starship parked on our planDisney planet once again! And I’m so excited for you and your band of Jedi to experience the magic at Droid Depot in Batuu! Droids really do make the best sidekicks! 

    While Sphero Star Wars Droids can interact with others of their kind and humans by using the Droids App by Sphero, Droids crafted at Droid Depot have a separate mobile app (Droid Depot mobile app). By having this mobile app, your R2D2 Droid should interact with elements in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and you! But, because your Sphero Star Wars Droids and your Droid Depot Droid have been separately crafted, I do not believe they will have the capability of interacting with each other. 

    You’re sure to have a great time crafting your Droid in the galaxy far, far away! If you find that you’re ravenous after working so hard, stop by Ronto Roasters for a perfect way to satisfy your galactic hunger!
