Hi Leslie,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! My family loves the dining experiences at the Walt Disney World Resort, so this is a fun topic!
The good news is that you can make
dining reservations now given that your trip is approaching in three months. If you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, you can actually make dining reservations 180 days in advance for up to 10 days. This is the strategy we use when trying to make reservations at popular restaurants. Character meals are especially popular, so we always book those first.
Some of our favorite dining experiences are 'Ohana, Chef Mickey's, The Crystal Palace, Cinderella's Royal Table, Akershus Royal Banquet Hall, 1900 Park Fare, 50's Prime Time Café, Coral Reef Restaurant, Be Our Guest Restaurant, The Edison and California Grill. Other places you may want to try are Biergarten Restaurant and Liberty Tree Tavern. There are so many great restaurants in the parks and resorts; it is always hard for us to choose. We make a point to try at least one new restaurant each time we visit!
Leslie, be sure to check the menu options at each restaurant. From the home page of the restaurant, click on View Menu. I also call to speak to a cast member in dining at 407-939-3463 to get specific pricing for family-style meals or buffets prior to our visit so I know how much each meal will cost. Once I know the meal pricing, I calculate gratuities. If you have not considered a
dining plan, I encourage you to consider one. We have found the Disney Dining Plan and the Disney Deluxe Dining Plan to be a good value for our family - we enjoy the drinks, snacks and desserts that are included with the plans as well as the resort refillable mugs.
Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse Hugs,
Donyell
