Welcome back to planDisney, William!
Thank you for stopping by once again with a great question. It is a pleasure to continue to assist you as you plan Disney adventures!
As the
phased reopening of the Walt Disney World Resort continues, we often ask ourselves when things will return to the way they used to be before the pandemic. I wish that I could have a precise answer to this question, but what I can tell you is that updates are made following guidance from health authorities to promote the safety of all Guests and Cast Members.
Disney Park Pass reservations are currently required, so I recommend linking theme park tickets to your
Disney account and making theme park reservations for your October visit as soon as possible. You can always cancel a reservation and make a new one if your plans change (based on availability), but be sure to secure your preferred dates and parks.
You are welcome to make dining reservations up to 60 days before arrival and book your favorite restaurants for the length of your stay if you have a reservation at a
Disney Resort hotel. Reservations can be made
online or via the
My Disney Experience mobile app. The app will also be a great tool during your visit if you decide to use
Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering or to
add your party to the walk-up list at select table-service restaurants.
Character experiences have also been modified due to the current situation, but you can still spot Disney pals around the theme parks and at select
character dining experiences. We are all anxiously waiting to hear when we will be able to hug characters again and see the skies light up during fireworks shows, so I recommend keeping an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for news and future announcements. As a Guest, I cannot wait for these magical experiences to return!
William, come back to visit us if you have additional questions while planning your visit. In the meantime, be sure to check our
Panel Extras for more tips and advice.
Best Disney wishes,
Thiana
