Welcome to planDisney Shane! Thank you so much for stopping by with your question. How exciting that you’re planning a magical getaway to
Walt Disney World Resort! With two fun filled days ahead, it’s wonderful that your family is thinking ahead about the best ticket options to fit everyone’s plans. I’d be delighted to help you understand how to purchase different types of park tickets so that each member of your family can enjoy the visit their own way while still sharing in all the Disney magic together!
You’ll need to make two separate ticket purchases if Mom and Dad want 1 Park Per Day passes and the teenagers want Park Hopper passes. Disney’s ticketing system requires that everyone in a single purchase have the same ticket type, so you can’t combine both options in one transaction. That means one purchase will include the 1 Park Per Day tickets for the adults, and another will include the Park Hopper tickets for the teens.
Even though the tickets must be bought separately, your family can still manage all of your plans together through
My Disney Experience. Once the tickets are purchased, you’ll sign in or create an account on the My Disney Experience website or app. From there, you can add everyone to your
Family & Friends list and link each ticket using the confirmation numbers. Once linked, your family will be grouped together, making it easy to plan Lightning Lane selections, dining reservations, and park itineraries as a single party, even though you have different ticket types.
Shane, I hope this helps you feel prepared as you plan your family’s magical Walt Disney World adventure. With each of you enjoying the parks in your own way, whether spending the day in one park or hopping to a few favorites, you’re sure to make memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you for visiting planDisney with your question. Wishing you and your family a truly unforgettable vacation filled with laughter, joy, and a little extra pixie dust from start to finish!
