Hello! We are planning on coming to Orlando the week of Thanksgiving, and I went to book tickets yesterday and it said we couldn’t go to Magic Kingdom the days we are there. I thought restrictions were lifted. Am I missing something? Haha

How ya doin' Kelsey and welcome to planDisney!

A visit to the Walt Disney World Resort is certainly something to be thankful for. It's definitely time to get those Theme Park Tickets so you can be ready for a magical time. Since the reopening of The Most Magical Place on Earth, there have been some changes to how we make that magic. One of those changes is making Theme Park Reservations via the Disney Park Pass System

To enter each Disney Park, you're required to have Theme Park Reservations in addition to your Theme Park Ticket. The reservations are pretty easy to make in your My Disney Experience app or online. I took a look at the Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar and I definitely see that Magic Kingdom Park appears to be at capacity for 4 days that week. My best suggestion to still try to experience that park is to purchase Theme Park Tickets with a Park Hopper Option. You'll then be able to make Theme Park Reservations at other parks for those days. Start your morning in the park you've reserved and then head to Magic Kingdom Park to try to enter at 2 PM when Park Hopping is allowed. If not, keep watching that calendar. Availability can fluctuate and you'll be able to change your reservation if Magic Kingdom Park starts showing that there's room.

Kelsey, I hope all of your vacation dreams come true. If you have any other questions, just come back and ask me. We'll figure it out together.

    Happy planning,

    Taylor
