Hi Sarah,
Welcome to planDisney and thank you for asking us a question, my fellow international traveller… though you definitely have a far longer journey than me when you travel to Florida’s sunshine!
I understand your concern about having too much to bring home after a visit to Walt Disney World Resort. I always tell myself that “this time” I’m going to be reasonable but, after a few days, reason flies out the window! You’ll be happy to know that, yes, you can absolutely
ship your Theme Park purchases home via FedEx or UPS, directly from the merchandise location where you purchased them.
This option can, however, get quite pricey, so my suggestion would be to take all of your purchases and consolidate them into one
package to ship home. You can ship pre-packed, pre-labeled packages at your resort’s Front Desk or Concierge desk. If you don’t have shipping labels with you, any hotel that has an onsite Business Center, including
Disney’s Contemporary Resort and
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, will be able to help you package and ship your purchases. Regular shipping and handling fees will apply at these locations.
Because shipping prices are always subject to change and are typically set by the third-party carriers who will be transporting your packages, it’s hard for me to give you a precise cost for shipping your purchases home this September. As an example, it cost me $50 USD to ship a package home earlier this year and I understand that this price has gone up recently. If you’d like to get an idea of how much this may cost, I’d recommend checking out FedEx and UPS’ websites to see what it would cost to mail packages from the United States to Australia (be sure to check out the different options for package weight/size.)
I hope my answer helps you plan your purchases during your upcoming Disney Parks vacation! Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions.
Have a Magical Day,
Lynne
