We are planning on coming to Disney World in the spring of 2016 with our then 4 yo girl & 6 yo boy for 6 days. What are the must-see resorts for children of their ages? We want to relax too and maybe go to a water park. TIA!

    Hello Sara,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for your question!

I think you’re asking which Walt Disney World Resort Hotel you should choose for your vacation in Spring 2016. I would recommend two very different Resorts for your family: Disney’s Art of Animation Resort and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge

My family likes to go “home” to Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge for a respite from the hustle and bustle of the parks in the middle of the day. What I love most is the warm and welcoming atmosphere that surrounds you the moment you walk through its doors. Plus, if you choose a Savanna View room, your kids will be delighted by the “NANIMALS" (as my son calls them) roaming around right outside of your room.

Disney’s Art of Animation Resort is the newest Walt Disney World Resort Hotel and it has been delighting kids of all ages since the moment it opened. The larger than life characters, immersive theming and The Big Blue Pool make this Resort so much fun. Plus, if your family wants a bit more space, this Resort offers Family Suites themed to Finding Nemo, The Lion King or, my son’s favourite, Cars.

Finally, I don’t think that you can go wrong with either one of the Walt Disney World Resort’s Water Parks, but I would recommend Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park for your family. I love riding the waves at the Typhoon Lagoon Surf Pool and I think that your 4 year old will have a blast… or rather a splash at Ketchakiddee Creek.

Happy planning and don’t hesitate to come back and visit us if you have any other questions!

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
